Frequently Asked Questions

What is your fee?

My fee is $220 per 45-minute session. Payment is due at the time of service. I accept payment by credit card through my secure client portal.

Do you accept insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly.

If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement depends on your specific plan, deductible, and out-of-network benefits.

Suggested questions for your insurance company:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

  • What is my deductible?

  • What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed after my deductible is met?

  • Is telehealth covered for out-of-network mental health services?

  • How do I submit superbills?

How do I know if your practice is the right fit?

I provide outpatient therapy for adults and parents located in Virginia and Washington, D.C.

My work may be a good fit if you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, attachment wounds, parenting triggers, emotional overwhelm, people-pleasing, boundaries, shame, postpartum adjustment, or recurring struggles in relationships and daily life.

I do not currently provide therapy for children or teens. When I offer parent-focused therapy or consultation, the parent is the client.

I do not provide custody evaluations, forensic evaluations, court-ordered evaluations, or emergency mental health care.

I offer in-person therapy in Falls Church, Virginia.

I also offer virtual therapy for clients located in Virginia and Washington, D.C. Because therapy licensure is state-specific, you must be physically located in Virginia or D.C. at the time of your session.

Where do sessions take place?

How often will we meet?

I ask that new clients begin with weekly sessions so we are able to build a strong foundation and create meaningful momentum toward your goals.

Over time, we can discuss whether a different frequency makes sense based on your needs, goals, and progress.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session.

How do I get started?

The best way to reach me is through the contact form on my website.

After you reach out, I’ll respond and we can schedule a 15-minute consultation call to discuss what you’re looking for, practical details, and whether therapy with me may be a good fit.

If we decide to move forward, I’ll send intake paperwork through my secure client portal before your first session.

What if I’m in crisis?

Email, voicemail, and website forms are not appropriate for emergencies or crisis situations.

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, call or text 988, call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.
